<p>Once completed in 2010, Block 21 will become the shopping and cultural center of Austin&#8217;s 2nd Street District. The 37 story building will feature an entire city block of mixed-use development including W Hotel &amp; Residences. W Residences will feature 159 homes and W Hotel will offer 252 guestrooms combining the signature W design with Austin&#8217;s distinct vibe. Block 21 will also be the new home of the Austin City Limits Studio Theatre with 2,500 seat capacity. The rest of Block 21 is rounded out by 25,000 square feet of new shops, restaurants, a spa and entertainment venues. W Austin Hotel &amp; Residences will be a LEED certified project when completed.</p>

<p>The tallest residential tower in the Western US is located at the northwest corner of Second Street and Congress Avenue. The 700 foot-tall tower&#8217;s 195 luxury condominiums units will be priced from $500,000, for a 1,200 sq. ft. unit, to over $1 million for the penthouses. Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects of Houston, the building will be an elliptical glass and masonry tower atop a lush garden deck, with a pool area overlooking Congress Avenue. The building will be topped with an illuminated architectural feature. In addition to a concierge and valet service, the building will offer residents workout facilities and a private area for meetings or parties on the top two floors. Also included will be a spa, movie-theater room, conference center, guest suites, game room, dog park and other amenities. A retail component will also be included on the building&#8217;s ground and second levels.</p>

It is only one block from Sixth Street entertainment and walking distance from the Warehouse Entertainment District. Also, only seven miles or ten minutes from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
